for young adults ages 16 and older
Program 1: INDEPENDENCE NOW! (IN): A Skill Building Group
Independence Now (IN) is a program developed for young adults
who want to learn how to survive independently and successfully.
IN is a drop-in weekly, interactive meet-up focusing on
building adult living skills such as:
Job Seeking Skills:
resume writing, interviewing skills, how to find and keep a job,
how to find and maintain housing
Basic Personal Finance Skills:
budgeting, opening a checking or savings account
Child Development Knowledge:
parenting education and skills for young parents
Stress Management Skills:
Mindfulness, Meditation, Yoga
Relationship Skills:
Communication skills, conflict negotiation skills,
problem solving skills, interpersonal skills,
sexual education
Time & Place: Wednesdays, 4:30-6pm

Program 2: REAL TALK: RELATIONSHIPS
Part two of the DAZ TAY program, Real Talk focuses on fostering
positive relationships with ourselves and others
Improving social, interpersonal and communication skills,
stress management and anger management skills
learning about healthy sexuality.
