Internship and Field Placement Experience

DAZ Foundation offers internships for MFT Interns and ASWs registered with the Board of Behavioral Science in California who are gaining experience and hours toward licensure. 

DAZ Foundation is a field placement for Social Work
Students enrolled in a Master's Program in Social Work.

Positions are for Volunteer Interns and Students
Interns and Students have the opportunity to learn all of the 
Evidence Based Practices used by DAZ Foundation.  

The Evidence Based Practices include:

  • ART - Anger Replacement Therapy
  • CBT
  • DBT
  • TF-CBT
  • Celebrating Families
  • Nurturing Parenting
  • Reflective Parenting
  • Triple P
  • Children in the Middle
  • The Deluth Model for Domestic Violence and Batterer's Intervention

Interns receive 2-hours of group supervision weekly at either the WLA or Torrance office.
Individual Supervision is provided for social work students and as needed for interns.
Group Supervision is a supportive environment where interns and students feel safe to learn.

Interns and Students co-facilitate all court-ordered classes and are assigned clients to be seen individually,
 in family and couples counseling. Play therapy and sessions with teens and young adults are also available.
Interns will have the opportunity to provide therapeutic supervised visitation with another intern.
